Artist’s Statement
“I find most artist statement to be somewhat pretentious. I make weird stuff. Some of it moves, some of it doesn’t, and some of it sticks to stuff. I don’t presume to have the answers, but I like to raise questions.”
Kerr’s work tends to focus on threats to individual identity and humanity as a whole in a digital age of growing technological hegemony. How’s that for pretentious? There’s also a lot vintage TVs, skulls, and melting things.
Kerr is a husband, father of three, award winning animator, illustrator, and professor.
