I little while ago I drew a series of ads for Chesbro in the style of Dr. Seuss. I love this style of illustration and its very eye catching amongst all of the photography and classy "adult" ads in most magazines.

I'm still working on my children's book. Here's the final design of the main character's cart. I had a lot of fun researching land sailing, ancient wheelbarrows, rickshaws, junk rigging, and fish. I don't know that it all made it into the design, but it was super interesting. There's evidence that eastern cultures used windpropelled vehicles long before European land yachts came into fashion. I couldn't find anything with a sail as complicated as a junk ship, but I took some artistic license since it is a fairytale #art #kidlit #kidlitart
