Carl, “Machines ain’t people. I haven't heard anyone.”

Erb, “Murdock might disagree.”

Carl, “He's welcome to disagree. He's a murderin’ scumbag, and I'll burn his business to the ground if I have to.”

Erb, “Now we’re talking.”

Carl, “Hey, I was speaking metaphorically.”

Erb, “sure. I hear ya. You ever played this game?”

Carl, “Firefly? Yeah. I never get past the rainstorm level though.”

Erb, “The trick is to burn everything. Burn the bad guys, burn their bases, burn the bushes and flowers, burn the power ups, burn the whole level, burn it all. The rain will put small fires out. Even if there's a lot of them. But if everything is on fire, if there's one big fire and everything is burning… Not even rain can put it out. That glass wing has crossed a line.”

Carl, “Birds?”

Erb, “yep. I don't begrudge a little killing here or there when people need kil’d. But hiring birds… That ain't right. Crossing that line has consequences.”
