Yaggi finishes his story, “Instinct kicked in and People jumped and scattered. The grasshopper crouched, preparing to jump and flutter to safety, but he had made a vow and he intended to keep it. The tallest stick bug threw off his clothes and hid. The other ghosts could not throw off their paint. As a stick he watched the black-feathered demon kill everyone he had ever loved. The grasshopper tried to run. The bird easily killed and ate him. He died stupidly having lived a life much below his station. The tallest stick hid the rest of his life in shame and guilt. In the end, he died of old age, safe and completely alone.”
